Visit Dubai wanted a heritage-focused guide to help tourists explore the historic Al Bastakiya Quarter. We designed an illustrated map and accompanying tri-fold brochure highlighting key landmarks, cafés, and cultural sites, paired with hand-drawn architectural sketches and warm, traditional patterning to capture the neighbourhood's character.

The concept centred on blending illustrated wayfinding with storytelling, so visitors could understand the history of the neighbourhood while easily locating cafés, landmarks, and cultural sites on foot.

I designed an illustrated map laid out in a clean, colour-coded style, with a legend distinguishing landmarks, cafés, restaurants, and points of interest across the quarter. This was paired with a tri-fold brochure combining hand-drawn architectural sketches of key buildings, warm Arabic-inspired geometric patterning, and short, digestible write-ups on the area's history, climate, and notable cafés such as Arabian Tea House and XVA Cafe. The earthy tones and traditional motifs throughout were chosen to reflect Bastakiya's heritage character.
