Echoes of Dubai is a four-piece editorial illustration series, each one a different face of the city: the Al Fahidi Historical District's wind towers and coral-stone walls, the Burj Khalifa rising over the Dubai Fountain at sunset, the sail-shaped silhouette of the Burj Al Arab against a pink sky, and a traditional abra crossing Dubai Creek at dusk. Together they move from old Dubai to new, heritage to skyline, without treating either as more important than the other. Each piece is built in the same flat, vector style with a warm, sun-soaked palette, so the set reads as one continuous visual language even though the landmarks themselves span generations apart. It's the series that started this whole body of work, a personal love letter to the city, and it works equally well as four separate prints or displayed together as one statement piece about what Dubai actually looks and feels like.
